Retail Operations Manager -Qatar
2.Job Purpose:
To deliver consistent execution of retail store operations across all the stores with the aim to provide consistent customer experience while maximizing overall sales and controlling costs. Lead the business development initiatives for expanding the Fifty-One East brand to more locations.
3.Key Responsibilities:
•Work in conjunction with the Retail Director in the development and articulation of the vision and strategy for the stores.
•Develop the departmental goals, budgets and KPIs in line with the overall divisional objectives.
•Work with the Retail Director to develop, review and update store operations policies and procedures.
•Develop appropriate controls to monitor adherence to departmental policies and procedures and report variances as applicable.
•Monitor and control expenditure against approved budget and reconcile budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets.
•Ensure that the revenue targets for the various stores are achieved or exceeded.
•Motivate and challenge store managers to achieve sales and profit results.
•Ensure an exceptional level of store merchandising standards are executed across all stores.
•Effectively recruit, induct, lead, manage, train and develop store staff to agreed procedures and standards.
•Role model people leadership and development via consistent and productive coaching; provide guidance and development to direct reports on business goals and development plans.
•Clearly and consistently communicate retail priorities and objectives to the store management team through the store manager meetings.
•Understand the changing retail landscape in order to take advantage of new opportunities suitable for the brand.
•Recommend and own the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
•Perform any other duty, within a reasonable professional boundary, as assigned by the Retail Director from time to time.
4.Key Performance Indicators:
•% increase in revenue and profit
•Customer satisfaction / feedback
•Sales per square meter
•Retail team HR metrics improvement (LTO, Absence)
3.Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
•Masters in business management (preferred) or bachelor’s in business management / marketing with additional years of experience4. Experience:
•12 – 14 years of related experience with a minimum of 6 years in managing a high-end retail store preferably in the GCC
