Job vacancy Fashion Manager- Qatar

To manage the Fashion Department by leading category range and brand reviews, making strategic buying decisions, and developing business plans and expansion strategies to enhance sales and profit growth.
1.Key Responsibilities:
•Work closely with the Retail Director to formulate the retail strategy in alignment with the overall strategic objectives of Darwish Holding.
•Develop the departmental goals, budgets and KPIs in line with the overall divisional objectives.
•Develop departmental policies and ensure processes and procedures are in place to deliver on these policies.
•Develop appropriate controls to monitor adherence to departmental policies and procedures and effectively address variances as applicable.
•Monitor and control expenditure against approved budget and reconcile budget variances to ensure on-target performance against budgets.
•Establish both monthly and annual sales objectives of the Fashion Department in line with Retail Division’s overall sales targets.
•Provide commercial direction to the Fashion Brand Managers to achieve short and medium term objectives.
•Lead the fashion team in developing relationships with principle suppliers.
•Drive sales and profitability of the fashion business.
•Assume complete responsibility for the profit and loss of the Fashion Department.
•Identify brands to include in the portfolio; monitor performance of existing brands to ensure an optimal mix of brands and their profitability within the Retail Division for continuous growth and discuss it with the Retail Director.
•Attend fashion shows / trade fairs overseas to select and assemble a new collection of products.
•Ensure skills, competencies and knowledge existing in the department meet the business requirements.
•Keep up to date with market trends and proactively design / develop responses to changes in demand.
•Analyze consumer buying patterns and predict future trends.
•Manage inventory on a season-to-season basis to set targets and ensure that all inventory has an exit plan to clear it from the business, by taking necessary price action or returning to suppliers.
•Liaise with retail team in micro space planning for the fashion categories.
•Build and maintain relationships with various suppliers and negotiate terms of contract as necessary.
•Report the overall business performance of the fashion department and the performance of various product categories and brand portfolios part of it.
•Direct the highest level of professionalism across the department by overseeing recruitment, training, management and career development of staff.
•Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives.
•Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles.
•Prepare performance evaluation and appraisal reports of direct reports to assess subordinates’ productivity and progress and identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices.
•Perform any other duty, within a reasonable professional boundary, as assigned by the Retail Director from time to time.
2.Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Academic Qualifications and Certification
•Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, inventory management or equivalent
•Master’s degree in business management preferred
3. Experience:
•12-14 years’ experience in retail required, with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of luxury fashion brands preferably in the GCC
•Exposure to luxury brands within retail
