The City of Miramar operates two senior centers designed for those who are fifty-five years of age or older. The Southcentral/Southeast Focal Point Senior Center at Sunset Lakes is located in West Miramar, while the Southcentral/Southeast Focal Point Senior Center at Multi-Service Complex is in East Miramar. Both centers offer a wide array of services such as counseling, support groups, information and referral, health and wellness, recreational activities and a hot lunch provided by Broward Meals on Wheels. There is also The Elder Grant program in the City of Hollywood which provides enrichment classes, cultural trips, fitness programs and recreational activities, at no cost to the participants. It also helps foster friendships, offers new experiences and increases longevity.
