Business Development Manager
Regional leader renowned for pioneering, competitive and sophisticated solutions looking for a Business Development Manager, Who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing growth opportunities within the engineering and construction services sector, with a focus on the oil and gas industry. The role requires a deep understanding of market trends, strong client relationship management skills, and the ability to drive revenue growth through strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct market research to identify key trends, potential clients, and competitive landscape in the oil and gas sector.
– Develop strategic business plans and market entry strategies to expand the company’s presence and market share.
– Analyse industry regulations, economic factors, and technological advancements that may impact business opportunities.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients in the oil and gas industry, understanding their needs and providing solutions that add value.
– Identify and engage with potential clients through networking events, conferences, and industry forums.
– Collaborate with the technical team to develop customized solutions and proposals based on client requirements.
– Lead the business development process from lead generation to deal closure, including prospecting, qualifying leads, and negotiating contracts.
– Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base.
– Track sales performance, prepare sales reports, and provide regular updates to senior management.
– Work closely with project managers and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of projects, meeting quality standards and client expectations.
– Coordinate with internal departments to allocate resources, manage project timelines, and resolve any issues that may arise during project implementation.
– Travel frequently to client sites, industry events, and other relevant locations to foster relationships, gather market intelligence, and promote the company’s services.
– Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and presentations, showcasing expertise in engineering services and the oil and gas sector.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
– Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the engineering services sector, with a focus on oil and gas.
– Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing business opportunities, meeting sales targets, and driving revenue growth.
– Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, including knowledge of industry trends, key players, and regulatory environment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, senior executives, and cross-functional teams.
– Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and the ability to develop and execute business plans that align with company objectives.
– Willingness to travel frequently and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
